A woman was injured last August while hiking in Glacier National Park by a brown-colored bear and her two cubs. The species of bear was unable to be identified. Park staff are working to determine next steps based on field assessments and wildlife behavior monitoring. Wildlife and law enforcement personnel are currently assessing the area for bear activity and any ongoing public safety concerns. The investigation is ongoing.
