The Kansas City Chiefs walked off the field on December 7 stunned, battered, and, for the first time in the Patrick Mahomes era, staring at a postseason that is slipping out of reach.
Their 20–10 loss to the Houston Texans on Sunday Night Football did more than damage morale — it effectively erased any mathematical chance of winning the AFC West and pushed their playoff hopes to the brink.
