In my 14 years as a Nutritional Therapist, one of the most common frustrations I hear from women is that they wish their skin looked better, particularly as they get older. They may be investing heavily in luxury skincare but not seeing a real change in the firmness or “bounce” of their skin.
As a practitioner, I look at skin health through a biological lens. Most collagen creams fail because they address the wrong layer of the skin. While they are excellent for surface hydration, they cannot physically reach the structural foundation where true ageing occurs [4.3].
The 500 Dalton Rule
In clinical practice, we are guided by the 500 Dalton Rule . This rule dictates exactly what can and cannot pass through the skin barrier [4.3].
