The Queen actually says, “Magic mirror on the wall,” which means generations of fairy-tale impressions have been confidently addressing the wrong piece of enchanted furniture. Citizen Kane Citizen Kane is built around the mystery of “Rosebud,” so it is easy to remember it as a puzzle the characters eventually solve after all that investigating. They do not.
