Read more Robust ethical governance L’Oréal’s commitment to ethical behaviour, enshrined in the Group’s Code of Ethics, is reflected in the implementation of a vigilant governance at all levels of the organisation, supported by people, processes and training. At the helm, the Chief Ethics, Risk and Internal Control Officer leads the global effort, amplified by a worldwide network of Ethics Correspondents who play a key role as dedicated allies on the ground for all employees. They are instrumental in communicating essential guidelines, processes and training. By serving as the primary point of contact for any ethics-related questions or concerns about potential unethical behavior, they help foster a culture of integrity throughout the organisation and identify possible ethics violations. To further reinforce this commitment, all internal and external stakeholders can also use “ Speak Up ” – L’Oréal’s secure, dedicated programme for anonymously reporting ethical concerns in complete confidentiality. To deepen employee understanding, L’Oréal provides a range of guides and online training in multiple languages. This includes mandatory trainings such as “Ethics and Human Rights”, “The Way We Prevent Corruption”, “Data Privacy for All”, “Cybersecurity” and also practical guides like “The Way We Manage Conflicts of Interest” and the new “Prevention Against Moral Harassment” guide. Putting ethics into action Not all ethical dilemmas are easy to spot. To help everyone make informed, responsible choices, our Code of Ethics distils key guidance and directs teams to concrete policies, putting ethics into action, notably across product safety and quality. Using a practical framework of processes and protocols applied worldwide, our teams conduct rigorous, science-based, and ethical assessments of our products and ingredients. Complementing this, our policies and charters on responsible advertising and marketing aim to safeguard transparency, promote diversity, and ensure responsible product communication. As a digital-first company, we operate using principles for trustworthy AI, keeping emerging technologies on a responsible path grounded in reliability, fairness, and strong protection of personal data. Ethics Day 2025: reflecting together on “the way we act” Every year since 2009, L’Oréal has hosted an Ethics Day, inviting all employees to participate in open and honest discussions on ethics-related topics. During this event animated through livestream videos and webchats, employees can ask questions about ethical issues and learn about day-to-day application of the latest Group policies and Ethics programmes. In October 2025, more than 30,000 people joined L’Oréal’s Chief Executive Officer, Executive Committee members and Country Managers for the 17 th edition of Ethics Day. It featured 60 online sessions and more than 4,700 questions submitted, demonstrating the strong engagement of L’Oréal employees in transparent discussion around ethics topics. Furthermore, L’Oréal’s employees receive regular information about the Group’s ethical policy and have access to a dedicated Intranet site.
